8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDean Rusk Middle School is, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating and disappointing school environments I’ve encountered. From the top down, the place feels disorganized, unresponsive, and completely out of touch with what students actually need to succeed. Communication is practically nonexistent unless it benefits the administration—otherwise, don’t expect emails, calls, or concerns to be acknowledged in any meaningful way. The administration comes across as indifferent at best and dismissive at worst. Issues that should be taken seriously are brushed aside, and there’s little sense of accountability. Instead of addressing problems, it often feels like they’re ignored until they become impossible to hide. That kind of leadership sets the tone for everything else—and unfortunately, it shows. The classroom environment doesn’t help either. Disruptions are common, and discipline is inconsistent, which makes it incredibly difficult for students who genuinely want to learn. Teachers seem overwhelmed, and while some clearly try their best, the lack of structure and support makes it hard for them to be effective. The result is a learning environment that feels more chaotic than constructive.Support systems for students are severely lacking. Whether someone is struggling academically or dealing with social challenges, there’s very little in place to actually help them improve. It often feels like students are left to fend for themselves, which is unacceptable for a school that’s supposed to guide and support young learners during important developmental years.Overall, this school falls short in nearly every area that matters—communication, leadership, discipline, and student support. It’s not just disappointing; it’s discouraging. There is a clear need for major changes, because in its current state, this is not a place that fosters growth, respect, or a positive educational experience.Student Review1mo ago23 Reviews - Sequoyah High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you want your child in a safe environment, have an administration that actually cares for students instead of trying to penalize them for everything and anything, learn nothing as teachers, teaching method is passive, not active, stay away from this school.Parent Review5mo ago28 Reviews - Holly Springs Elementary School

"Very safe for outdoor and pool activities. Walking to stores shop is very convenient. The downtown area of Woodstock has great restaurants and bars for all day fun. The parks and street market is a great way to spend Saturday afternoons."

"I’m 6 miles to I575. Our medical center is on Chastain Rd only 15 minutes from my house with our primary doctor and many specialists and an Urgent Care Center 24/7. There are many great places to eat and shop, go to Church or to Allatoona Lake within 6 miles. We’re retired so we have no need to leave Woodstock even to spend time with our family!"

"Every one has dogs and walks them. There are dog parks around and restaurants that allow dogs outside. People help you if you lost your dog. I like dogs. This question is making me write more words than needed to answer it. Am I at a 100 words yet? I’m bored with this. Don’t leave your cats out there are coyotes and others animals that will eat them. "Literally nothing unless you have kids in school. Sometimes downtown Woodstock will have some fest (like a concert) and that's pretty fun but other than that I wouldn't say there's anymore community activities that are just open to the general public"
