I went to high school here, overall, there was always a few good teachers who went above and beyond. The team was always disorganized and overly focused on making sure we were in dress code then education. Many of my peers agree we did not feel fully prepared after graduation. I was I newspaper class; we didn't even really publish a newspaper very often at all in the years i was in the class. I was bullied by my art teacher in my freshman year and because for whatever reason she didn't like me failed me always. With being the only art teacher at the school at the time, I was forced to give up my ambitions with art class. The place just seems given up on with the depleting surrounding area due to crime and poverty. Frau Davis was always my favorite teacher; she was definitely one that stood out of the crowd and tried to truly reach out to kids enriching them. But even with few great teachers, I would not recommend going there if you want your child to succeed and stay away from drug/gang violence.

This is the worst school ever they are very unprofessional and I think that you work for them versus them working for you and your children. This school had over 24 cases of covid within 2 weeks and still wouldn't close down and if you take your kid out of school for being sick they try to make you think they can punish you for caring for someone you gave birth to and take care of the teachers are rude and the principal and vice principal do absolutely nothing about it the lunch items are not for lunches they have lunches and the school is unsanitary they don't even give home workout they don't even have after school programs to help a child who is in need and then I mind you again that the teachers are rude they're too busy trying to deliver an attitude then trying to deliver success to your children.

Principal Gillespie lacks organization, direction, or clear communication, it creates a chaotic environment where staff, students, and parents struggle to get consistent information. Telling a student that you wanted them gone from the school is not professional and only hearing one side of the the story, failed to do proper investigations in all occurrences. Stating that student has counselors or her to talk too, but yet refuse to hear what the student has to say, always dismissive. Bullying is never investigated at all; just has her mind made up already on who did what. Mr. Powell ( 3rd Principle) absolutely tries his best to descalate issues as well having excellent communication skills.
