Teachers are trying.The administration is awful. Need to be replaced.

SIS is a wonderful middle school. The staff members work together with each parent to obtain the best education for the children.

I was a student here my whole life before covid. I could write a book about how horrible my experience was. I can't say how grateful I am for my mom's decision to homeschool me. Being away from those kids changed my perspective and I think even made me a better person than I would have been had she not done so. This school was like a prison. Prison food, prison classrooms. And the kids were like cellmates. People think of elementary as the tip of the iceberg. "How bad could it have been, it's only elementary." WRONG.There were few teachers I could tolerate and a majority I wouldn't even want to see in the grocery store. However, I have to give credit to the ones who were the only people with any sort of personality. Perry, Weintraut, Tremper, Kinheart, Smiley. Won't forget you. But I wish I could forget everyone else. The bullying had to be the worst part. I was an overweight and chubby twelve-year-old who just wanted to fit in. Im fifteen now, and though that was rough, the bullying made me tougher, both mentally and physically. No one will be making fun of my looks, shoes, height, hair, clothes, and definitely not my body, anytime soon.
