The school over all is a good school, they are great when it comes to having a problem with another student, doing as much as they can to help. They never had a problem switching classes even close to the end of the school year, they provided me with the right teachers and education.

Dwyer High School should have a higher rating in my opinion. My child just completed the 9th grade and he absolutely loves Dwyer. He was pleased with all but one of his teachers, and I do understand his reasons, but overall he and I both think they’re doing a great job. They have really good sports teams and his coach goes above and beyond for Track/Cross Country kids. Any issues with bad apples at the school are addressed promptly. I don’t have anything bad to say. The principal cares about the students and runs the school well. I hope more parents and kids give reviews because I don’t believe the 5/current rating is accurate.

This is a mostly white wealthy school, however it’s still a public school and you get what you pay for. They do not have reading coaches. They are not equipped to teach struggling students , they are also not equipped to teach high preforming students , this is a remedial one size fits all school for the average student. The gifted program is a joke and if your child is a fast learner they will be stifled and bored out of their minds. On the other hand if your child needs any extra help such as tutoring , they do not provide it, you are on your own.if you can afford it, invest in a private education. This is my personal experience with this school. It was more like a day care / social time . Not a quality education. Good luck .
