Great small school atmosphere offering some quality vocational elective programs. The teaching staff really cares about their students and the kids are basically getting a private school classroom environment in a public school. School has a new Principal and a few new teachers that are making for positive additions! Makes up for lack of big school programs with making its few programs strong and getting kids into college or the vocational workforce.

I have worked at Don Pedro High School for about a year now. Since our school is so small, our students are able to participate in a lot more functions and have a lot more one on one with their teachers and staff. I know every student by name (there are roughly 60 on campus students) and can tell you where each and every one is on any given time and day. The only thing that I hear most students complaining about, is the lack of sports to participate in. Without the numbers, it makes it more difficult, but with the few things that we do play, we are able to devote much more time and energy to these kids. Definitely needs an update with numbers, our students are amazing.

Class of 1984 (1975-84). I remember every teacher I had at Tenaya. Every one of them has influenced me in a positive way and I would be a lesser man if any of those people had not been a part of my life. Your review has no category for just "alumni" (only "recent alum"), so my review is based on the school as it was 30+ years ago. Like most things in small rural communities like Groveland (population around 2000), things tend to change slowly. I can only assume that Tenaya is still a more close-knit school than its big city counterparts. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
