I’m a former student of this school and I’d say it’s a pretty good school. They have handled the situation we’re they had to many students in one class.(it’s still not perfect but it got A LOT better as my years there went on) The teacher and principal seem to care enough, but it just depends on what teacher you get. The students are as good as it gets with elementary grade students lol. The food is sub par. On the subject of if they treat people with learning disabilities or just disabilities well, I think from what I’ve seen they treat them really well and make sure they are at caught up on everything. Again that’s just from what I’ve seen over the years. And for bullying I know my 5th grade year there was a bit more of it but there was never anything really serious or hurtful from what I could tell. Overall I think any school is what you make of it and as long as you continue to have a positive attitude and try to talk to teachers if your having any problems or concerns I think you will have a good time here.

I disagree with the comment that Clackamas High School doesn’t have dual enrollment. I had two kids that graduated from Clackamas and both ended up with college credits from Portland States and Clackamas Community College. Some of the classes at the time were also AP classes. Taking and passing the AP exams were important if they were going to go to a highly selective college but most colleges did accept the PSU and CCC credits with out the AP exams. They did graduate a few years ago but I did notice in other reviews that students were still receiving the college credits.

The teachers are very dedicated at Rock Creek. The school has several channels of communication for parents, though it can be difficult managing several apps (but that’s a personal growth need). There are several sports and one of the few orchestra programs available in the state. Their health programs are very science-based, and our family appreciates that cultural influences and gender identities are covered, as well as kids learning about how all bodies work—the curriculum is shared in detail ahead of time and is not politicized in any way. Respect for diversity is taught and we are grateful for the diverse population of students, so our children grow in an environment where they can implement those concepts.
