Even as a straight A student this school is so hard to be in. The teachers show a high amount of apathy. The students are way too loud. People cut in line during lunch. Not to mention pink food. The computers they supply overheat and shut down. The best program is ccp which is when they send you to another school. The no cell phone policy was sparked after last year there were too many fights under #shelbyhigh. A new student recently got permanently suspended after he got fed up and threatened to shoot up the school(not the first time this year). We can't use our cell phones even at lunch. Last year there was a kid with a gun in the bus lot. Bomb treat this year. I genuinely do better in college than high-school got 100 in a class last quarter. I'm genuinely stuck on what to do. The principal reminds me of my script dad. One teacher kicked a kid out from class for laughing.

This school is so bad, students are cussing, teachers are yelling at each other, the learning isn’t great, students are calling teachers slur words, and there’s fighting in the bathrooms, there’s also fights in the cafeteria, the gym teachers don’t help you at all. All they do is send people to iss and not help the students! So my experience at this school was awful!

I am part of the first class and I have experienced what I wouldn't have experienced if I went to an original high school. I am blessed and proud. you are pushed to do great things that you are capable of to succeed. The teachers help you tremendously if you have misunderstandings. We are crew not passenger, a leader not a follower, and we work together as one. The academics are based on expodential learning with outward bound while also challenging you to be all that you can to strive for the best.
