6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is excellent for both college preparation and career preparation. For future college students, they offer a wide array of AP courses. For non college, they offer courses in a variety of trades. The school offers a college like atmosphere where the students are given a lot of responsibility in their education. This is great for motivated kids, but there are plenty of unmotivated kids who skip a lot of classes and do poorly. The school is criticized for lack of diversity, and I agree with that because the area is mostly rich, white and liberal. The rich, white, liberal kids tend to be entitled, spoiled and LAZY. Our son was not raised like this. He goes to school every day, does not skip classes, works hard on his homework, studies for tests, and goes to bed at a decent time to get a good night's sleep. With these habits, he makes mostly As, but he has plenty of friends who have bad habits and get poor or mediocre grades. Education is what you make it. This school gives students every opportunity to excel, but they cannot force kids to do their homework or prevent kids from staying up all night wasting time on social media and Tiktok.Parent Review9mo ago13 Reviews - Butler Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child has any special needs do not go here. They will not handle it well and will treat your child like they are a criminal. The principal especially does not know how to handle kids that are having melt downs, and does not give them the space to calm down, and when your child wants one of their parents to come and help calm them down, the principal views it as the child is being manipulative. They view the calm down rooms or corner as a earned privilege's for good behavior which completely defeats the purpose. They do not follow up with agreed processes. Communication between the school and parents is spotty at best. You tend to find out about issues that have happened well after the fact when it is not ideal to address them with your child. If you have a special needs child RUN as fast as you can do not even bother going here it is detrimental to your Childs mental health. It has been so bad we have taken our child back to their previous school across town, where they are treated significantly better.Your child is also banned from playing on the playground before school, they are told that if they do they will get in trouble.Parent Review2y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 1414 E 7380 S.

"Cottonwood Heights is the perfect location in Salt Lake. Mountain living with quick highway access. You are just over 20 minutes to the airport and 18-20 min downtown. Cottonwood Heights has world class skiing, hiking trails, restaurants & dining, shopping and more. It’s a safe community and the people are nice. It’s a special enclave of Salt Lake!"

"Dogs everywhere but be careful, irresponsible owners are also everywhere. Just be careful and make sure you have good recall with your dog and watch out for others. "

"I like Cottonwood Heights but I prefer Holladay area. The rental prices are too high in Cottonwood Heights For no reason the neighborhoods aren’t that different from each other. In fact Holladay has more to offer."
