4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAgree with the school needing competent leadership. My son has been jumped twice now this school year and I was not called on either occasion. He has been caught skipping school by the police and I have checked his attendance record (which is awful) but I have not been contacted in over six months by the school about his attendance. The school must notify me if I am to enforce standards on the child. I've resorted to a FINS petition. This school should be shut down.Parent Review15y ago1 Reviews - Jacksonville Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, nobody should visit this school. It is completely unfair and unsafe. Enroll your child if you don't care about their well-being or future. the academics? Horrible. The rules and handbook? completely unfair. Please keep your children safe and STAY AWAY from this school. The staff isn't horrible. It's just the district and curriculum I'm worried about.Student Review6mo ago7 Reviews - Jacksonville Elementary School

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 12 years and it’s went down hill since then. The neighborhood has lost a lot of older residents and are being replaced with the younger louder type "

"I’ve been living here for 9 years and it’s been pleasant for me and my family. We love it... the peace and quietness is a plus. I’ve lived in two different houses on my street. I wouldn’t want to move anywhere else. "

"The schools here used to be good . I use to love the school my children went to but now it’s like none of the teachers care . The fast food places aren’t that great either it seems like none of them can get an order right to save their life . The only thing I enjoy about living here is the grocery stores are close . "
