"I never see people walking their dogs. We are fortunate we have a large fenced in yard. Many people take their dogs to the dog parks in town."
  • Bo J.
" Shallotte is close to several beautiful beaches. The Shallotte river runs through town offering many water activities. "
  • Matthew B.
"It was nice with lots of trees. DR Horton bought it and now all trees will vanish. Which is sad. But it’s still a decent place to live at the moment. "
  • wynter

  • Audrey a. M. W. H.
"Close to Wilmington and Myrtle Beach (restaurants, night life, UNCW, shopping, airport, etc) yet perfectly far enough to be country living! Very close to multiple beaches. Friendly, laid back community where it is acceptable to wear pajamas to Wal-Mart, lol! Big city folk would probably be bored here year round. "
  • Marie K.
"This place is loaded with sex offenders. Not safe for kids"
  • Pernot p.
"There are quite a few sex offenders living in this area. I would not recommend it for any family with children"
  • pdordal
"Wonderful area clean and friendly camp grounds middle class america family oriented curfew enforced."
  • Darnanma
"I lived many years in southeastern NC (Brunswick Co). Briarwood Golf Course is only a hour away from the heart of Myrtle Beach and lots to do. The beaches are beautiful (Ocean Isle is only minutes away). The people are nice and they look out for one another. This area is NOT BAD and drug use in the county is no worse than any other place in the country. Quiet and beautiful...yet this is a growing and vibrant area with great housing prices! Shame on the person who posted that the area is "bad". Absolutely false information!"
