This school is horrible. Many teachers won’t answer email questions from students or parents. This school year alone the N word has been written in school bathroom, constant use of homophobic slurs in front of lunch monitors with no action taken. Three different principals in three years, this school is and always has been a mess.

School is huge, clean, safe. Academics are strong, athletics too except baseball- the varsity coach Michael Chiapparelli is a true blue bully who takes money under the table to place kids as extras on winning teams while skilled players get cut.

Murray Avenue School in Larchmont is a case study in institutional arrogance, incompetence, and self-protection.When serious questions are raised, families should not be met with evasions, contradictions, vague explanations, and bureaucratic theater. They should not have to fight for clarity from people whose job is to provide it.The problem is not one mistake or one bad decision. It is a culture: people covering for one another, hiding behind procedure, refusing real accountability, and acting as if polished language can substitute for competence.This is what institutional corruption looks like in practice: not always a dramatic scandal, but a system so committed to protecting itself that truth, transparency, and basic responsibility become secondary.Murray Avenue needs scrutiny. It needs accountability. And above all, it needs leadership that is serious, competent, and honest enough to stop pretending that everything is fine.
