I’m extremely disappointed with how Ed White High School handled a recent incident involving my younger sister.A staff member repeatedly misgendered my sister after being corrected and later referred to her as transgender. This was disrespectful not only to my sister, but also to the broader LGBTQ+ community. Educators are expected to de-escalate situations and model professionalism — not escalate or demean students.What’s most troubling is that my sister was disciplined immediately and multiple times, while the adult involved faced no visible accountability. This creates the appearance of bias and raises serious concerns about how student complaints are handled versus how staff behavior is addressed.Instead of focusing on accountability and transparency, the school’s response felt dismissive and defensive. That erodes trust between families and the institution that’s supposed to protect and educate children.I hope the administration reflects on this situation, takes appropriate corrective action, and prioritizes respect, fairness, and student well-being moving forward.

The only students having problems in this school are the ones with parents who do not engage with the PTA, do not motivate and work with their children, and those who prefer to allow their children to act up and blame the school rather than their poor parenting. This is a wonderful and enriching school for those fortunate to attend, regardless of your background. I will remain anonymous but there are many who share my sentiment. Parents lacking their own education have this false sense of entitlement to preferential treatment because they see the school as 100% responsible for the outcome of their child's education, which is false. The teacher is the guide, the parent plays an equal role in this and frankly, too often the parent's aren't involved. My children have been very happy here and made great strides, the teachers should be commended.

I been having issues with this school since day one, they are so unprofessional, don’t care how they’re students getting treated, they also lost my kid on the first day of him going .
