One thing that sets MHS apart from other schools in south Arkansas is the ability of students to enroll in college courses while in high school. The schedule (4X4 Block) is perfect for aligning courses. It's a perfect college prep atmosphere. The high school offers AP in all core subjects, engineering, drafting, debate, forensics, etc. Yes, they need more electives; but for the small (comfortable & personal) setting, they offer much. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family has lived in many locations and large metro areas. My children (unfortunately) were in many school districts. We moved to Monticello 7 years ago and as soon as they arrived they began to thrive. I had two children in this school and I am so thankful for the staff and administration.
