New Administration has made a huge improvement in this school. Very caring and personable staff. My kids love it there and are doing very well.

When it comes to basic education, this school is great. It's ranked well statewide in terms of test scores, and most of the teachers are enthusiastic about teaching; however, if you have a handicapped/autistic/special needs child or safety/legal concerns that you want taken seriously, find another school. My son is autistic and in multiple intensive therapies. By the end of kindergarten he still could not identify the alphabet, even after doctor's and therapist's recommendations, and an hour of begging them to let him repeat kindergarten, they pushed him forward to 1st grade where he is struggling immensely (and of course no IEP or assistance programs have been put in place either, which has also been requested since starting kindergarten). In addition to that, if you have any legal, custody, or safety concerns expect them to be dismissed. With a no-contact order in place between child and parent, the school allowed the no contact parent to sign my kids out. Even with with a court order on file specifically stating one parent holds all legal authority and decision making they have accepted signed paperwork from the non-custodial parent, and on top of that argued that it is not their responsibility to ensure paperwork is sent home with or signed by the primary custodian; they stated it is the parents responsibility to communicate what is allowed/not allowed to be signed (you would think that would be the whole point of a court order signed by a judge). In short, if you have no extenuating circumstances and your child does well in school independently/has no extra needs/requests then this school will be fine, but if your child needs extra help or you have legal/safety/custody concerns then stay away because they will not take accountability and follow your requests, even if it is in a legally binding court order. Not sure if it's the new principal or what, but it's a shame, I used to love this school when family members and other children attended until I actually needed them to help ensure my child's well-being.
