"I’ve lived here for two years. This has long been known as “Mayberry on the coast”, but we did experience a CAT 5 a year and a half ago. We are coming back stronger!"
    • Lisa.seger
"A state Route runs through Mexico Beach, but traffic is rarely so heavy that you can’t cross the street to get to the beach. No traffic lights in town, but no issues with pulling out of neighborhoods onto the state Route. "
    • Lisa.seger
"The streets are quiet and wide, nice for walking a dog or two. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches in town, but just a couple miles down the road, you can walk your dog on a leash. "
    • Trulia User
"Hurricane Michael recovery dangerous for dogs unleashed. Wildlife has been displaced. Can not walk dogs on beach. "
    • Alyoops17
"Lived here for 3 years folks are friendly and look out for each other! Know I can visit Tallahassee for a few days and leave my elderly father and neighbors will check on him for me! "
    • 2boaters
"We enjoy live music at local bats and restaurants. We are staying at the Rustic Sands Campground and they have live music as well on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights."
    • Med L.
"Best reef system in the South East due to the efforts of MBARA and their sponsors. Tourism is kept at bay by the lack of hotels. Its' the way Florida use to be. Wonderful. "
    • Mom
"Mexico Beach is a small town with a big heart. The locals are friendly and outgoing and the businesses are run with interest and care. The old time atmosphere of peace, quiet, no rush, no problem is like stepping back sixty years in time. Only a short ride to Apalachicola, Panama City, Port. St. Joe for shopping and something different to see and do. "
