Both my kids went through DES. The teachers have all been well prepared, passionate about the kids in their classes and welcoming to parental input. My kids got an excellent education at DES. I would highly recommend the school to other parents.

My child has had an outstanding experience at DMS! The staff works incredibly hard to develop relationships with students that encourage each of them to take challenges, be creative, and to truly enjoy their learning opportunities. I am thankful to the staff for amazing ability to draw out the very best in each of their charges!

Like every school, this school has some excellent, marginal and awful teachers. However, for the most part, I think the teachers are very dedicated and caring and many of the AP teachers are wonderful. The problem with this school is the adminstration is COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT especially the principal and guidance counselor. Their staff does what they can to make up for their lack of professionalism and general incompetency, but they can only do so much. The best advice to a new parent to this high school is to fill out all important scholarship, etc. forms yourself and then tell the guidance counselor and principal to "sign here" and then give it to the staff to make sure it gets completed and submitted properly.
