About this House
Our home is a brown, vinyl-sided hillside ranch that is located on the west side of Bangor, Maine. It is so-situated that, on sunny days there are at least 2-3 of the rooms that are bright and cheery. The lower level of our home, which is street-level, is where the washer and dryer, half bath and furnace are located. it also houses the woodworking and craft shop which can be heated by the Renai heater which burns propane gas. there is also storage space, and another part of the shop that has power tools, the electrical service panel, and room for yard equipment. Each room of our home is conveniently wired for cable, data, and land-line (except for the kitchen which has no cable hook-up). This home would be a very good starter home for a young family because it is near schools (grades 1-8), it is close to the Bangor Parks and Rec building, it is close to the Bangor Y, close to the Bangor Waterfront and the Cross Center. The back deck is so made that toddlers and young children can play with no danger of straying or falling off. Our home would also be a great home for seniors who are still active, but down-sizing. The living area is really a second floor from street level which affords another level of privacy. The roof is only a year old. The hot water heater is 5 months old. The laminate flooring is two years old. The kitchen and living room flooring is 3-4 years old. The dishwasher and microwave are 4 years old as are all of the kitchen cupboards. The coffee bar and charging station are 4 months old.
