Description
Don't miss out on renting this gorgeous primary bedroom and on sharing a whole floor and a half with 1 other renter (with his own private bedroom) in this is a Massive 4039 square foot, 3 story (plus basement) house in the lovely Berkeley Hills.
Your very spacious primary bedroom (large enough to be a dance studio) comes with it's own private balcony, private bathroom with separate bath and shower unit, a walk-in-closet and a second smaller closet.
The floor and a half you'd be sharing with your house mate includes it's own:
- large, largely unfurnished living room
- large kitchen with ample storage
- dining room
- extra bathroom
- three balconies
- main entry-way / foyer
- a cozy study (the study is an exception in that we all tend to share it)
As you can see from the photos your floor is hardly furnished. You and your house-mate can furnish / utilize this floor as you two see fit. We only ask that you keep the common spaces clean and cared for.
You will also have access to a carport that will park about 4 cars, a parking area in front of the house that will park 3 cars, a huge basement for storage, and shared washer and dryer units.
Me (the manager), wife and two kids live in a semi-separate downstairs area with it's own entry way, kitchen, and living quarters that is connects to your would-be floor via a stairway (no photos posted in ad of the lower floor area where we live). We are very sociable and friendly, so you're more than welcome to come visit us anytime.
With regards to utilities you would be paying 1/4th, which include: EBMUD (water), Waste Management (trash and bulk pickup), PG&E (power and gas), and Internet.
Please not that smoking is not allowed, and no pets are allowed, though there are two resident cats that wonder the house and may love to get to know you.
lastly, the culture... We are proud to say that we have maintained a very friendly house-share culture here and strive to keep it that way. I like to think that your would-be housemate has lived here for almost 5 years, and the tenants who occupied your room before were there for 7 years in-part because we try to find people who are friendly, conflict preventive / resolving personality types with a laid-back character and good communication skills. Even though we live on separate floors, we like to occasionally visit each other, joke together, help each other out, and eat together from time to time. I hope we can carry on that kind of community culture.
Please feel free to call/text me to arrange a viewing. I may not be able to pick up/respond until after 5:30pm on weekdays given work hours.
