GATE STUDENT REVIEW- At my experience in this school I've won awards every year being in GATE and I am in every academic competition the school provides, these competitions are ADVISED BY ONE TEACHER ONLY FOR EVERYTHING, including Science Olympiad, Math Blast (For 6th Graders), Spelling Bee (School + County). Yet not even half of my accomplishments are recognized by the school, its social media pages aren't updated, and the school wouldn't even have enough time to personally congratulate all of the winning students. ON TOP OF THAT- I NEVER see any principals, vice-principals, or OTHER HELP at ANY county competition, they don't come to support their students other than one teacher in GATE who comes to every single event without fail because they're the ONLY ONE WANTING TO HELP TEACH THE STUDENTS WHO WANT TO EXCELL.I feel like all of my work doesn't even matter because clearly, it doesn't matter to my own school.Not only is this teacher advising 3 competitions ALONE and coming to extra awarding that no other GATE teacher or principal comes to, but they're also looked over because I also don't hear them getting congratulated or recognized as well. All because NO OTHER TEACHER wants to take their time for students that want to be competitive.This school also doesn't take good looks at their teachers because I feel like I haven't learned anything in 6th grade GATE 2026. If you're thinking of putting a student in GATE so they can learn more -DON'T- it isn't worth it, not only is the GATE barely following its own original guidelines, but the students themselves are becoming general ED students because of a fraction of the 3 teachers.And in my opinion, until the school gets an update from the supposed new principal after the graduation of my class in 2026, don't enroll any student here that ACTUALLY WANTS TO LEARN AND EXCELL.
