As a teacher, I will say you rarely see a teacher that doesn't love the students. What parents might view as not enough attention, is probably one teacher trying to meet the various needs of all the children. Our principal and assistant principals are hands on! I don't believe there is anything that Mrs Curry, Mrs. Ramsey, or Ms. Johnson, won't do for our kids. It does my heart good that no one is above sitting at lunch with students or speaking with a class on behavior issues. My history with is long as my adult children attended, so I have both perspectives. Also, our Community in Schools leader is phenomenal at spotting those kids who need extra love and support. Yes, car pick up is longer than anyone would like, especially those outside in the Texas heat helping children get into their vehicles. With that said they have approximately 700 students and I don't know how else you could release the children and have them be safe. Overall, there's a lot of love at Vickery.

This school is so bad I don’t know why I’m here they don’t know how to teach or anything and there to strict about phones gum dress code eating crocks. Like there worried about all of that but not about our safety or school shooters.

I’m a hispanic student at this school my first time walking in I felt more in place and comfortable than I ever did before. There’s a lot of hispanics,whites,blacks really great school for anybody the teachers are nice really great education!
