Very small town environment which reflects on how the school is managed. Since everybody knows everybody, there is no shortage of teacher/interaction. Most of the teachers and staff have been working and living in the community for a decade or more (minus the occasional teacher/coach that's in for a year or two). Granted not all of them were "superior" teachers but the motivation or pride to succeed was well ingrained in the school environment. I believe my graduation class had 70% attend college with 50% graduate. I cannot testify for every class, but the prior year's graduates had a very high college attendance rate as well. Sports are highly focused on. Making the state tournament is considered part of the norm and taking the championship is almost the norm. Many of the students end up getting scholarships to play at regional colleges with the occasional NCAA athlete. This in mind, parents who work in the area consider moving to the school district for the opportunity the school and it's environment can provide.
