"Nothing unique, just a quiet safe place to live with a plethora of things to do and people to enjoy time with "
  • Hail4293
"Iโ€™ve lived in this neighborhood for 5 years. Not all, but most people are friendly and like to chat with each in passing and invite each other to cookouts and neighborhood gatherings. Itโ€™s a good neighborhood for people that are social and enjoy being around others. Most people in my neighborhood are trustworthy people, down to earth, and enjoy the company of others..if the garage door is open, come on over, type of people. "
  • Donaldsonsarah
"We have gatherings on a regular basis. We have gotten to know our neighbors. They even celebrate birthdays. "
  • C. M.

"It's quiet and lovely! We love living here. It's mostly elderly people in our neighborhood, which is why I don't see kids playing outside very often."
  • Crystin M.
"Itโ€™s a growing area with a lot of potential. Thereโ€™s still work to be done in a lot of areas like putting in sidewalks and updating parking lots but they have build a lot over the years. "
  • Claire M.
"No dog park in the neighborhood and the yards are somewhat small for bigger dogs. But there are sidewalks and lots of space to walk dogs "
  • Emily H.
"Food trucks, movie nights, flea markets, I havenโ€™t been to many as Iโ€™ve only lived here a year so I am sure that there are many more"
  • Rangrman

  • Matt T.
"Would like the sidewalks to walk the dogs. May not like that thereโ€™s like dog park.................. ๐Ÿ˜œ"
  • Natasha D.
"Usually an easy drive to Wilmington. Sometimes there is a delay when one of the draw bridges are open or there's a wreck on one of the bridges. Happens about 1-2 times a month."
  • Starrgazer606
"We have doggie bag stations around the neighborhood but not trash cans for them. A little inconvenient "
  • Starrgazer606
"Itโ€™s a nice neighborhood, good for families. Not much to do around though and hard to get to know neighbors "
  • Edwin V. H.
"Small group of homes in a separate neighborhood. Good mix of older and young residents. Includes small and large homes."
  • Jonathan H.
"My wife and I moved to Leland in 2006 from Kure Beach, NC. We purchased a home in the Waterford because it was ideal for our commutes into downtown Wilmington. We only moved away from the area because career opportunities and family pulled us away. I wish I could have brought the Waterford with me for its convenience (Harris Teeter, dentist, eye doctor, vet, drug store all within walking distance), the gated neighborhoods, and amenities (saltwater pool, tennis courts, greenway/pathways). I highly recommend the Waterford for families with young kids for the amenities and calm neighborhood streets, for couples looking to buy their first home, or for retirees looking to be near the coast without the high prices of Wrightsville. My wife misses the fact that we could be at Wrightsville Beach in 25 minutes...."
