Sultan Elementary has provided a wonderful learning environment and foundation for both my children. Being in a small town there is a real sense of community. The teachers and staff really care about the students.

This school is not a safe school I do not recommend it as the principal, substitute assistant principal, and Councillor have made me feel like a fool and that I was being dramatic when reporting other students for my safety involving me almost getting jumped and I have been threatened by two other students that they were going to "get rid of" me. The office did not do anything until my parents physically went down to the school and had a long chat with them about them needing to do something. There are teachers at the school that have made me uncomfortable specifically two male teachers as one called me a "good girl" in front of class as that should never be said to a minor and another putting his hands on me and other female students in uncomfortable ways causing students to stick up for the harassed students, neither of the two male teachers have been fired. The substitute assistant principal has lied to my parents more than once. As a student who experienced so much more than what I have said in this review about SMS, this school has caused me trauma as I have talked about this school to other professionals outside of this school and they even say the school needs to shape up and show up for the students more. This is my last year here and SMS is not a great school for your kid(s) if you have to put them in SMS please make sure your child is safe because clearly the office doesn't try or care enough to do their job properly for students safety and mental health.
