"Many of the homes were built on large lots or come with acreage. You do not see many people walking their dogs around the neighborhood probably because they have lots of land for their dogs to run free. "

"Located about 10 miles from downtown Palatka and 20 miles from St. Augustine, Federal Point is definitely "in the sticks", which has its good points and its not so good points. Good-- quiet, little traffic (but there are speeders), wildlife, friendly people, river views, library and post office close by in Hastings (about 5-6 miles away). Not so good-- No shopping really close except for the Dollar store in Hastings, schools are in Palatka. No public transportation; no sidewalks. Speeding vehicles. But, hey, it's a little bit of heaven out here!"
