It`s a great school to be!! Their commitment to academic excellence is balanced perfectly by boundless opportunities for parental involvement and meticulous attention to the holistic development of the children. The Principal Ms.Standish is an exceptional leader, she is fair and diligent, very energetic, enthusiastic and cheerful. You will often meet her managing the car lines at times, all events around or even travel with her to Washington D.C. - so that she can be closer to the students & meet the parents. The Administrative staff is warm and Professional and communication with the parent body is frequent. I would like to thank Mrs.Autero (LEA Representative) for being always here for our child and her professional team, especially Mrs.Waterfield, Mrs.Bostic, Mrs.Skarecki. Thank you to Ms.Hoffman for keeping us informed & being so supportive. The teachers are masters of their vocation. I would like to name the best of the best, which are approachable, accommodating and easy to get in touch with: Karyl Partridge (ESE), Mrs.Jackson (3rd) & Mr.Foyo, Joanne Gaydos (4th Grade), Mrs.Juca (4th) & Mrs.Kaplan (4th), Mrs.Scott (5th) & Mr.Dudley (5th). The school’s academic successes run concurrently to several memorable fun filled events that create a true family feel.Clubs : Many active clubs to keep your kids busy after school as well. Cleanliness - Cannot get any better. Staff - very co-operative & friendly. Discipline – we call it HRE way: positive modeling, emotional support Responsible Decision-Making. Our child had the best time at this school. We highly recommend this school!

Three of my children have attended this school. They have received a vastly superior education to the one I got at another school locally. I can tell by the conversations they have with me about their studies and the fact that much of what I learned at university, they have learned buy 10th grade. There are a variety of ways to access college-level courses. There are some teachers who have been better than others, but there have been none whom I have any reason to think are not capable or not acceptable for any reason. We had a bad experience with one of the sports programs a few years ago. But that is far from a deal-breaker. I actually think the school dealt with the situation, but I'm not sure. My son was injured by another student on campus last year. When I talked to the school about the incident, I feel that the assistant principle handled it in the best possible way. My kids are not special-needs. They are mixed-race. I see that great-schools has this school listed as a 5 of 10 stars. I do not completely understand how that computation is calculated, but I can't imagine a public school being much better than this one. Our family being zoned for this high school has been such a tremendous advantage for my family.

I am a current student, and I know Carver. They have a lot of fights, and a lot of students talk trash, some teachers curse out students, and others roast them i front of their class. One time, there was a fight, and this teacher was watching it instead of stopping it. It was only a teacher who came and stop it after two minutes. They're good, it conquese because if you fight, you a least get two or one day of ISS (in-school suspension).
