This is the original Walton's'' house, the boyhood home of author Earl Hamner where he grew up with his parents and 7 siblings & from which his experiences provided the inspiration for the TV family saga, The Waltons. The archetypal two over two Albemarle frame house with an L'' expansion was tastefully remodeled in 2010 in keeping with its historic significance. Though perfectly well set up for a starter home, it is also a great second home and, given its significance for the many Americans who grew up with the Waltons, a potential short term rental property.
