We have had 5 children attend preschool to graduation at hancock and also our grandchildren attend here too. We've watched hancock come up greatly over the years. The staff at this moment are amazing. The assistant principal is at every game and event, the teachers actually care about your children. As a result the children thrive. There's a significant amount of alumni that are still supportive and attend games and events as well. I think the rating on this district should be re evaluated. This school district is a great one they not only educate but they care and take pride in their community.

I have had an excellent experience with this school for my children. Growing up I always heard bad things about it and it carries a stigma for being a low-income school but it tests better and rates better than most others in the area. The teachers are well-trained and compassionate. They offer free breakfast and lunch to all students among many other programs offered to help children in their community. Hancock teaches my gifted child in a challenging, encouraging manner. I can't say enough great things about them.

Terrible, everyone is rude and the curriculum is not good. We learn things that fifth graders know and we barely learn anything, cheating is active and we barely get any homework - which is not an effective approach for middle school standards.
