About this House

This property has not been offered for sale since it was built in 1955. Its a fortress starting with its 3 covered porches, large, flat open lot just around the corner from the Old Forge Highschool football stadium for those great Friday Night Lights...and this large ranch was built with entertaining a large family in mind. Great room sizes, well maintained and closets galore. The lower level used to be lived in by a family member which could be again if need be, as it has an outside entrance and is fitted for a bathroom and heat is available. It also has a wood burning fireplace that is as grand as the one upstairs in the living room....which is real stone by the way. There is wood under the wall to wall carpeting but the current owner has never seen it so has no first hand knowledge. Additionally to the 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths all the closets are expansive. The current laundry area is on the first floor in close proximity to the bedrooms and bath. In addition to the football stadium this property could be walking distance to the infamous Old Forge pizza parlors that line the main street for miles. This home and location has got it all; you don't want to miss out on a personal tour and your opportunity to bid on this one! Oops.... I'd be amiss if I didn't point out the driveway and attached patio is poured concrete and the 2 car garage has plenty of room to include a man cave and hold all those outdoor gizmos we love to have and need a place to store.

    "I really enjoy living here. I walk my dog all over town every day. It's very safe and people are always very friendly to me. I enjoy the quiet street that I live on, and that my neighbors all take pride in their homes -- most if not all have manicured lawns and nice landscaping. I enjoy having the ability to walk to restaurants and the local bar for drinks on the patio. There's also chinese & pizza delivery, but not much shopping other than a grocery store and some pharmacies. Down the street is a great park, and there's always sports being played with families/friends cheering and supporting the teams. It really has a sense of community. Overall it has a nice, quiet neighborhood feel with many of the amenities of living in a more urban area."
