"Quiet and friendly town.Police make sure they know everyone and keep the town safe. They even have a sense of humor and show it in their Facebook page "
  • Dee W.
"It’s a Pretty quiet area. Neighbors are friendly. Big name stores close enough to get to without a lot of traffic. Festivals are close year round. Lots of Churches of various denominations to chose from. Police are always trying to keep residents safe and it really is safe. We have a new pool and splash pad at one of our many parks. All parks are clean and easy to get to. "
  • Janelle W.
"Loretto is a great small town. Everyone knows everyone and everyone takes care of everyone. It’s been an amazing place to raise our children. True small southern town full of character, history, and hospitality. "

"I live in Loretto, a small basically likeable city if you can live with a Dollar store, a Freds, plus a small Grocery, that does not carry speciality items... IF YOU ARE IN THE CITY. I chose to build 2-miles beyond the city line in a Rural area, which later came with several regrets. There is No Police help in rural areas, instead they are dispatched from about 16 miles away from the City of Lawrenceburg. (Crazy)... VERY Important to me is the lack of animal control, there in NONE in Rural areas, and the city does not care or get involved in who does what to whatever dog, cat, horse, piggy etc. Almost all outside animals have Ticks and Heartworms, and the biggest hitter is MANGE. Do you all know that Mange jumps from animal to humans and back to animals again? It is a Pitiful, Miserable condition to see any lifeform suffer with, and of. Reprehensible, is how the humans of this city ignore and sometimes starve these hurting animals, and leave them to die a slow painful death. Outside the city limits there is NO public transportation, No sewers, No sidewalks, No natural gas and very few street lights, with only a Volunteer Fire Department. Don't care for the Doctors in town? be prepare for about a 20-mile drive to find another. Why do I stay? Because I'm underwater in my Mortgage, but the day that turns around, I'm gone. Loretto is NOT a place for anyone other than Farmers. Families with or without kids, Singles, Couples and Retirees have Nothing to do here, unless you want to live here and drive lots of miles for restaurants and some form of entertainment. Remember when you buy property it is all about 'Location, Location', and that is NOT in Loretto."
