I was a student at cedar lee middle school recently. I'm going to write this review in separate paragraphs because I have a LOT to say. I will try to not be terribly over-critical, but this school was overall a terrible experience for me. I'm a mentally sick & mentally disabled student. Before I had attended this school, I spent a week's stay in a psychiatric ward. This school did not help me ease back into life whatsoever. On my first day of school, I walked in and was bombarded with students screaming and yelling and with adults shouting. I didn't have any direction whatsoever. While there are some good teachers, there were more bad teachers than good ones. A teacher once walked out of class and didn't show up to the rest of class for the next 45 minutes. This was a yearbook class and all the kids were given unattended access to photography cameras. They of course, took advantage of this and decided to target me and continuously take photos of me. Kids relentlessly bullied me here, and there were little to no measures taken to prevent this. I was teased and yelled at, other students would often catcall me and point out things about my appearance. I did everything I could to stay out of everyone's way. There were fights every other day. In MIDDLE SCHOOL. The hallways were constantly crowded despite them being 10 feet across. Nothing was done to prevent this.I was supposed to have accommodations in place because of my disabilities. It felt as if these accommodations weren't even there. While I understand there are only 2 counselors and 700ish students, it was very hard to communicate with the counseling office and obtain the support I needed. I was often disregarded and put aside. Often times I would sit on the chair outside and cry, while someone sat in their chair in the office and watched me. Only once or twice did I receive actual help or advice from one of the counselors. There was no resource room, and the counseling office did absolutely nothing to assist me, so I often had to seek refuge in the library. I don't think I would have survived this experience if it weren't for the lovely librarian that works there. I truly appreciate what she'd done for me. Overall, the bullying at this school is out of wack. The teachers can be supportive, but most act inappropriately and unprofessional. Disabled kids have no refuge here and are generally unsupported by everyone. I HIGHLY do not recommend this school. Please, send your kid anywhere else.

unporfessional and rude Admin that is on a constant power trip, counselors who do absolutely nothing for there students, teachers are mixed with some who are amazing and others who are just mean girls who peaked in high school.

Been going through some stuff with my kids mom and explained it to the 2 ladies in the office and the principal. Now when I come to pick my son up the 2 classless ladies in the office chuckle like something funny and really rude. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone
