5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is by far the worse experience that my daughter and myself have experienced. The Deans and Principals are not trust worthy. The Principals do not care about the students well being. My daughter was assaulted on this school premise. We are frustrated, and emotionally and mentally affected by this entire situation. My daughter have attended this school for three years now and this will be her last year. I tried to speak to the Dean, and Principals: I was denied and refused to speak with the Principals or to resolve any issues. I am new to this city and I expected a better example of what this community demonstrates. Bullying and assaulting any child should never be tolerated. I ran to to school numerous times to deal with this bullying situation and no one helped in any kind of way. No one ever asked my child was she okay the day of the assault or when she returned! Parents should be allowed to be heard to gain a resolution. Children should feel safe at school. No child should be bullied, looked over or left behind under any circumstance. To any parent they may be interested in this particular school West Side High please be careful many situations are swept under the rug. The school is big and nice however the Principals, Deans /Staff could improve on how they administrate to their students.Parent Review4y ago12 Reviews - West Briar Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am writing this review to help parents make an informed decision when considering this school. I can only speak from my personal experience.I moved to Texas in February and enrolled my daughter after missing the private school enrollment deadline. We previously lived in Florida and believed one year here would be manageable. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. The enrollment process was disorganized and redundant. Although documents were submitted online, I was still required to bring them in person. There were no clear instructions, and we had to walk around the campus to find the enrollment office.“Meet the Teacher” day was chaotic and poorly communicated. When we finally located the classroom, I learned the teacher had 29 students with no aide. As a former kindergarten teacher, I know this is inappropriate. Two months later, I received a letter from the state stating the school was out of compliance with Texas’ 22:1 ratio. The first day of school raised serious safety concerns. There were very few staff members and no clear directions. At dismissal, my daughter was missing for nearly 30 minutes. Staff did not know where she was, and I had to use an AirTag to confirm she was still inside the building. She was found hysterical due to lack of supervision.Dismissal procedures remain alarming. Students are often unsupervised, and I have witnessed staff distracted on their phones and a child pushed from a 6–8 ft platform without immediate intervention. Backpacks are frequently left outside for days.My daughter has experienced verbal and physical bullying. Despite reporting this to the teacher and principal, no action was taken.Communication from the teacher has been minimal. Items are sent home without instructions, and multiple emails requesting clarification went unanswered. The curriculum is weak and below kindergarten expectations. After submitting documentation for private speech therapy four months ago, staff had not reviewed it and ultimately denied services, wasting valuable time.Overall, this school has ongoing issues with safety, supervision, communication, and academic support. My daughter will not be returning next year, and I do not recommend this school.Parent Review4mo ago25 Reviews - Check out schools near 12646 Briar Patch Rd.

"I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years. We are the original owners of our home. Homes in our neighborhood are all custom builds, from several different builders. We love that the neighborhood is in a great location, within walking distance from so much. Feels like we are in a very active area, yet feels peaceful behind the gates of our neighborhood....like we are in a different world"
