The person who wrote the second review is probably a teacher or a parent of one of the favored students. There are many other parents that are unhappy with the status quo particularly with the seventh and eighth grade teachers. Waterford's "stellar" reputation has been damaged because for the first time the school 's students did not meet NECAP standards. This was probably due to the social atmosphere under the former regime. We had positive experiences in the lower grades but transferred our children for middle school to insure that they would be better prepared for high school. There have been students who reported being poorly prepared in math for high school algebra despite being placed in "accelerated" classes by the Waterford math teacher. I would not recommend this school for middle school unless teachers are held accountable to teach all the students, give extra help when needed, and avoid favoritism. It would also be more appropriate to have socialization between staff be done after school hours as there seems to be difficulty maintaining that separation at school
