2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child has had a good experience overall at Hillcrest. We've been very happy with the teachers, both here and at other schools in the Peekskill district. This year's teachers (5th grade) are particularly kind and competent, running a well-organized classroom with lots of parent communication. The school administrators clearly love children of all backgrounds and work hard to foster a positive culture at the school. They have been very responsive to concerns that were expressed last year about homework and recess.Parent Review4y ago - Oakside School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my daughters have gone to Woodside - my older daughter has moved on to Oakside for 2nd and 3rd grade, and my younger is in Kindergarten at Woodside. Both are in the Dual Language program where they learn in both Spanish and English. My current kindergartener came in not reading, and is now reading short books. Learning has been fun and completely stress-free for her. The teaching quality at the school is top-notch, and we have experienced different teachers with both children. Teachers at Woodside are held to a high standard and it shows. The arts and music programs in Peekskill are fantastic and that begins at Woodside. The environment is caring and diverse. We couldn't be happier.Other Review7y ago - Peekskill Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, we are having a great experience at Peekskill MS. Our child is thriving in the accelerated classes and also loves the music and performing arts electives. There are also a lot of after school options to keep the kids engaged. The staff have been caring and responsive, and have helped us navigate this challenging period of early adolescence, especially during covid. The teachers seem to genuinely care about the kids.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 125 Viewpoint Terrace.

"This neighborhood is idyllic. Wonderful diversity of cultures mixing together with appreciation of differences and and understanding of sameness. So much to do, and such a great place to raise a family. You can't beat the commute; a beautiful ride up the Hudson on the Metro-north and you're well away from the din and dirt of the city. Or if you need a little culture, you're in the heart of Manhattan in under an hour. Moving here was the best decision. "
