5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have three years of experience at FRES and every year it gets worse. My kids love their teachers and they're making progress academically, but the violence is insane. Kids throw chairs at teachers. Fights on the playground are a regular occurrence. Teachers are called names and are prevented from presenting the material by unruly kids who there are zero resources to handle. Someone apparently brought a knife to school! In elementary school! And everyone literally had to shelter in place last month because some kid was rampaging through the halls. The worst thing is that the administration doesn't seem like they could possibly care less. No discussions on this issue, very little communication to parents (I think the only things I've seen from the admin are the communications about the shelter in place and the knife - nothing at all about the ongoing problems or any efforts to solve them). Teachers have left in droves already, and I'm sure we will see more of them exit this year. Who could feel good about teaching in this environment, with no support? I'm disgusted and seriously looking at homes elsewhere so we can get out of this school. No kid deserves to have to try to learn in this environment. MCPS should be ashamed for letting this happen.Parent Review2y ago24 Reviews - Ridgeview Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is very unkind. The teachers are rude and dont know how to do their job. They don't let anyone use the bathroom. And they will make up excuses. The students only have 5 passes per quarter to go to the bathroom. There are a lot of fights and constant smoking in the bathroom. people do not know how to take care of of the bathroom stalls. The school is so little the hallways are always over crowded and everyone pushes and shoves everyone around. The boys here are very rude to females especially. There is so much discrimination at this school. Teachers also have favourite students and it's very clear. I do NOT recommendStudent Review5mo ago11 Reviews - Quince Orchard High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageif i could go back and not have my high school experience be through quince orchard i would. i truly do not understand why this school only cares about theirs athletes. they push things off until the last second and just expect the student to run with it and it is a complete waste of the student’s time and the schools. me personally i’ve been in summer EVERY SINGLE SUMMER throughout high school and every year around mid way through 3rd quarter my mom would come in to have my 504 meeting which they would then inform her of the 2 classes i now have to take over the summer because of something from the YEAR BEFORE. i’ve been DROWNING in spanish work for 3 months because they decided to wait until LAST FREAKING SECOND AGAIN to “take care of the problem” when this “problem” could have been taken care of at the beginning of the year or any other time through the ENTIRE YEAR that i was to admin and counseling about this.Student Review1y ago18 Reviews - Check out schools near 125 Timberbrook Ln.

"the perfect blend of tranquility, community, and convenience. Tree-lined streets, well-tended gardens, and friendly neighbors create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home the moment you arrive. Mornings begin with birdsong and sunrises that filter through the leaves. Local parks and scenic walking trails are just steps away, ideal for outdoor lovers and families alike. On weekends, stroll to charming cafés, family-owned shops, and vibrant farmers’ markets that give the area its unique character and small-town charm."

"This is the “Best” commuting area in metro DC. Short distance to Metro redline and to buses and to I270 and to a new interconnecting highway. We are out in the country but 1 mile from shops and about 3 miles from a new outlet mall."

"The neighborhood is well maintained, and the community center makes it easy to plan an event. We have had community events in the past, but recently, last 2-5 years, it has been harder to maintain."

"Public transportation is very good. Highway access is great with multiple exits nearby. Rush hour or 1 accident tends to delay your commute but that no different than anywhere else in the metro area. "

"I drive to lake Forrest transit center to take the 101 bus. It would be Very convenient if my commute to Bethesda was not ridiculously long- 1 to 1 1/12 hr by the 101. Or 45-1hr by bus and metro. "
