This old farm house is surrounded by majestic old trees was built in 1917 by the great grandfather of the current owner. The home is in need of lots of TLC as it has had little attention in many years. There is a view of the mountains and a pastoral view of the neighboring pastures and church. The town is safe and clean and our kids enjoy a level of freedom and independence unheard of these days. We love it. "

    "Lived in tryon for some time. I moved back north. Not a very friendly community. Best if you have strong ties here. People originally from around this area feel as if people moving here is not good for them. Poor economy. Businesses constantly failing. And it is true there is an alcohol problem as many people are bored and unhappy in tryon especially people under 50 or so. Not a good place for children. This town should also be red flagged as a gang stalking community. Ideal for retirees who don't go out much."
