3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe middle school years can be so tough for kids that age but despite that, my kids had an overall positive experience at Pomolita. Their teachers seemed engaged and invested in their educational experience. Bullying activity hits it's peak during middle school and the counselors seemed prepared to work with those challenges.Parent Review1mo ago4 Reviews - Ukiah High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUkiah High is a good example of a 'you get out of it what you put into it' kind of public school. Both my kids went on to college after graduation, one with a masters degree from Oxford and undergrad from Cal. She and her peers took multiple AP courses and were involved in athletics and leadership and all went on to university with multiple acceptances. The opportunities are there for that kind of student if that is the goal. Their classes were engaging, challenging, and their teachers were invested in their experience.Parent Review1mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 1240 N Pine St.

"Poor infrastructure. Insanely high home prices. Moving to a state with sane laws and reasonable prices soon. "

"Ukiah is a beautiful town that is expanding yet still holds to the past as well. The schools are great and diverse. The parks are clean."

"Home prices are high. Wages are low. Local government wastes so much money on “beautification projects” yet our roads are crumbling. "

"Homelessness is a problem and drugs. Poor public schools. The neighbors are nice but there’s always a few. Utilities and roads are expensive and the roads are full of potholes"

"Houses and yards are far apart, so dogs can play and bark without disturbing neighbors. Good trails to walk with pets and a very dog friendly area."

"Loose dogs running in your yard. Other than that we are a dog friendly neighborhood and the neighbors look out for each others animals"

"Short, It takes about 10 minutes to get from one side of town to the other. When school gets out, there is a lot more traffic around the school areas."

"I see several couples walking with their dogs in the evening. Although our specific neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks, there are several open fields for dogs to let their owners run through. I would recommend my particular neighborhood for dog owners looking for beautiful views."

"There is plenty of walking to be done through the neighborhood with my dog. However, as a renter, it is almost impossible to find a rental that accepts dogs. When they do, they want an exorbitant amount for a pet deposit. "

"Choose your school district with care. There is only one decent elementary school. You will need to leave the area to find a good middle school."

"It is approximately three miles, and takes roughly five minutes to get to my place of employment. Parking can be a challenge near the court house during business hours."

"They would like that we have a lot of parks and also a dog park on Low Gap road. They probably wouldn't like all the stray dogs and cats that run around "

"Pleasant place to raise kids. High school is good if your child is interested in AP level classes. Otherwise, the school is pretty bad. "

"I've never lived in town and was weary of the neighborhood and neighbors. Turns out, neighbors are kind, honest, hard working family oriented people. We look out for each other, and our neighborhood? Quiet and peaceful! I forget I live in town sometimes!!! Love, love, love it here!!"

"I live here in Ukiah. Area is lacking in shopping, and good restaurants. Need more activities for young people to do. Lack of growth restricts shopping, e.g., Costco is supposed to be coming here for the last 10 years! I don't think I'll see it as long as I live here. "
