My grandchildren go to Hallsburg. I LOVE this school. The classes are small. The staff is great and the principal Mr. Reynolds is fantastic. Although family is welcome for lunch anytime they have special days for grandparents to come have lunch. Muffins with Mom day. I forget what they do for dads. Whenever there is a program, both the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge are recited and a prayer is given. I LOVE this school.

As a student I have had many problems throughout my schooling such as bullying, suicidal thoughts, and even have considered switching schools, but it would be entirely unfair to post a review and only hammer on what is wrong with this school I will say I love the teachers and most of the staff and I've been at the school my whole life never once have I left the school so I remember the old administration and I remember all of the teachers I've encountered. I loved my time here I hated to watch the suffering of others but honestly my first everything came out of this school when I look back I will smile and laugh at my memories. Here now it's my senior year and I'm leaving a lot behind. I enjoy the enthusiasm of the football players in the fields as much as the students in the classrooms. I feel it has a great balance between academics and athletics. With new things being introduced to the community such as its new mostly technology based system of operating I feel the school is taking to it well. This school will leave you with memories you'll never forget. I'm glad I went here honestly I wouldn't be the same person today without it this school built me it made me the person I am today and the man I'll be tomorrow. I think that if the school were to look into its students a bit more they may see the pain they hide. I want this to be seen because I've been helping people with suicide and people listen to me, but after his year I'm gone and can longer help those I currently have. So I want anyone who is currently an administrator or staff member at Axtell to know many of your students are struggling with suicide and they don't want to seek help they honestly want help to find them. So look for the signs and help before its too late. I've seen too many scarred arms. Anyone can stop it even students you just have to try.
