7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to the area from another state. The state and city we came from the high schools are below average and basically don't do much to help your children catch up if behind or even care if they finish. Canyon High Schools teachers and counselors did everything possible to help my child they even helped her finish early. I am still amazed at the help they have given and the things they do to help the students stay on track and finish. They give alot of different tutoring opportunities before, during and after school. They had a program called Cougar-Time that my children really enjoyed that was focused on ending bullying and bringing the students together as a team. Thank you Canyon Cougar faculty and teachers, you have given me faith in education again.Parent Review10y ago8 Reviews - Canyon Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was actually horrible. I only went here for one year and hated it. I'm glad I'm moving. This school should be like a 2.Horrid peers, teachers were meh, and overall poor experience. Also, the bathrooms were never open. I would have to walk across the school just to pee, and then the teacher would get mad at me. Also, you'll have classes so far apart that you'll have to run in the halls just to get to your class and- oop- Lunch Detention for running in the halls. Only good thing about it is that they said that they're gonna give us our own chromebooks. Although I don't know if they're gonna follow through with that because they never do.Student Review9mo ago4 Reviews - Freiheit Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI worked at Freiheit for about 3 years. I wish I knew about this site years ago because I think it is very helpful. This school has so much potential and has parents and teachers that really care, however, in my opinion the school district has failed to support the school as needed. They have placed too many special programs in the school and have ignored many requests for help. It is common for classes to have to evacuate into the hallway due to a student acting out violently. I saw students attack other students (hit, kick, choke.....etc). Parents were not notified when their children's class was evacuated and they also were not always contacted when their student was attacked which I found disturbing. My advice to parents would be to listen to their children and ask questions. Until parents speak out nothing will change. Also, instead focusing on the 3rd grade and up they should give much more support to kinder and first grade so the students are not so behind when they get to the 3rd grade. The teachers are micro managed and stuck in too many meetings. They have new leadership this year and I hope she is allowed to make the necessary changes. Prior leadership did not support the staff or parents (very unapproachable). The well being of "all" students needs to be prioritized instead of catering to chronically disruptive and violent students. Many of the students with special needs were set up to fail by insisting on inclusion even if that is not what is best for them and/or their peers. I saw classrooms torn apart, staff assaulted/injured and students cry because they were scared of the student next to them. All students deserve a safe environment in which to learn. Every teacher should have an aid in a Title 1 school in order to give the students the best chance to succeed and schools schools should stop the practice of passing students that have not learned what they need (no fault of theirs) in order to start the next grade.Other Review3y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 1239 Bartels Ct.

"I love dogs so seeing them make me smile. Their owners are friendly to. Everyone watches out for their neighbors and pets. If someone needs help of any kind they are always there to help and support each other. It’s a better neighborhood than the last place we lived. "
