This is an excellent school. Staff and faculty are professional and very dedicated to providing the best learning experience for the students. The students are provided with many options and opportunities to stay on task like after school tutoring and Saturday Academy. My daughter has been also provided with extra credit assignments also. The teachers are great and make sure to keep in contact with the parents to provide updates on their child whether or not the child is doing well in school or not. The whole learning environment in my opinion is productive , structured and organized to lead your child in the path to success.

I am currently a senior at bccprep. I have been in this school since 2021. When there was little issues at first because covid was still semi serious in all schools. Went online about 3 times for it. But this school is TERRIBLE overall. They award the bad kids and only selective kids with good grades and not all of them. They care about the attendance more then grades anyways.. I miss days and my grades are still on the top but they do not care about that because they are so much more focused on attendance… Its very hard to make friends here throughout 9th grade and now i barely made friends. Only around 5-6 i can say which they don’t even stay in the school for more than a year. It’s a lot of bullying . Especially towards kids with disabilities. Barely any events. When there is events, they’re repetitive and corny every year. They mainly only do christmas and thanksgiving events which like i said is repetitive and very corny. A lot of the students here also have hygiene issues.. In the cold it’s very musty and thats so embarrassing… Just imagine in the summer which i have dealt with unfortunately i had summer school my 10th grade year and i would not even wish my worse enemy to have summer school in this building. There is a lot of kids who are drug addicts at just the ages of 14-16… It’s also funny to me how this school had the names College and Career in it when i have not learned nothing at all about both College and Career. I had to figure that all out on my own with researching my passion. We have 2 deans and not one really does their job correctly. Always atleast one kid skipping in any staircase or even in the halls roaming and they do not do anything about it. The principal is a MAJOR joke as well ! When I first came, there was uniform and we had to strictly wear it. But ever since the old principal principal left the school went extremely down hill. I remember there was around 200+ students and the school felt more lively.. Now there is only around 110-120 students in this school. There is no chemistry courses in this school so if you wanna do anything chemistry related this is definitely not the school for you. They only just now added AP classes this year which ruined the chances of other class graduates missing out. Do not come here unless you want your future career to be at a Retail or Fast food place for the rest of your life. They also dont push students for better colleges they only worry about CUNY and community college. JOKE SCHOOL.
