2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is horrible school. The staff don't care about the children and the principal is horrible. All the kids do here is fight. They don't have services for special needs children and will discriminate against you.Other Review2y ago19 Reviews - Lowe's Grove Middle

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is lead by a principal who has instilled in her staff to use RPC and suspension as methods to prove who is in charge. The staff is unprofessional engaging in inappropriate conversations with the staff and the staff fails to have communication with the parents. They talk to and communicate with the children as if they are the adult. The children here fight all the time, being weapons to school and constantly bully others. This school needs to be SHUT DOWN! There is no concern for the child, their specific learning style, or how they may adapt. The teachers kick the kids out of class with no direction so they be just lingering in the halls. Please do not send your kid to this school!!! You will regret it!Parent Review11mo ago11 Reviews - Parkwood Elementary

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon't let the "score" of the school fool you - this school is a community and a lovely place. The principal is outstanding and the communication is phenomenal. We were at a "highly rated" elementary school in the district before coming here and while we did not have issues there either, Parkwood has been stood out as a much more welcoming and personal space than our previous elementary school. We've had quick action when any concerns or help has been needed and my child is happy and thriving. What more can you ask for. The grounds are also quite pretty and I see nothing but good things for Parkwood in the future.Parent Review4y ago8 Reviews - Rogers-Herr Middle

"I don’t know what would they like or dislike like. I know that I don’t like how they take the dogs to are where kids play at. Some people leave there dog poop there and kids my Step or play in it. There is a Dog park but a lot of people barely use it."

"Brier creek area, really quiet and safe. Durham has some very great area to live. Best thing is that you are at the center of everything so it doesn't take long to get anywhere. Rush Hour traffic will add to your cummute going and coming to with because it's NC and no one knows how to merge."

"It is a well established community that is weathering the storm that afflicts a city in sudden sporadic growth We will weather this storm and any other . This place is called Home to many whom have lived here through Three or more generations and many newcomers who chose to make this place their new home. I wish I could find an appropriate rental here. I am on the edge in a house I have afforded to live in for twenty-nine yrs. The house was recently sold and I find that I may be under the bridge at age 79 due to so-called gentrification . Durham is known for undermining it's citizens in the name of progress. It's a backhanded way of doing things but it will come out alright because the so-called little people come together when they realize what is happening."
