4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLike any other school, thousands of kids have passed through these halls and even more parents. Only seven reviews have been left so in my opinion, that’s pretty good considering most people only leave a review if they are complaining. We’ve had a good experience, safety is a priority, resource officers are present, doors are always locked, book bags have to be clear, even the cups they bring into school to drink out of or checked. Yes, it is a very culturally & economically diverse school, but that isn’t bad. My children came from the northeast in a very sheltered small school and have now made friends with various student students. Learning is a priority, but there are many children that are English second language, which may be contributor to the overall academic level standardized testing. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSocastee high school may seem bad from the outside but on the inside it’s filled with loving councilors and loving principals. Kids will be kids and if there’s a problem a kid should addressing it, so don’t base the school on other kids behavior. Socastee provides lots of opportunities for my student and have teachers that live and support him. It was hard during the mandated virtual learning due to COVID, but since they've been back the teachers and administration have been really understanding and supportive of the transition period. My son loves his teacher and has flourished this year both emotionally and academically. The after school program is run by a wonderful administer as well.Parent Review4y ago
