Im Extremely upset with Midway High school, as a whole. 60 to 70% of the students and parents are treated as a number and a burden. It is entirely too large, with too many students in one building. The Teachers, are good, as a whole. The Administration covers their ###'#, they dont care about parents or many of the students or their needs. If you are low income or middle to low income, and /or if your child is 504 or Special Ed, you and your family are treated the worst. Midway only caters to the Elite, and parents who have connections there. Im very happy my student graduated. Midway doesn't care. Please send your student to another school. We learned the hard way.

I transferred my daughter to Midway ISD—specifically Spring Valley Elementary—from another district, and the difference has been incredible. She genuinely loves school now. The principal is kind, caring, firm, and deeply supportive, and it’s clear that both students and staff respect and admire her.The teachers are outstanding and hold high expectations, which my daughter is motivated to meet. At her previous school, she was often overlooked because she was high-achieving; once she showed mastery, there was little effort to further challenge or enrich her learning. At Spring Valley, she is fully engaged, appropriately challenged, and consistently encouraged to keep growing.She actually wants to be at school—even when she’s not feeling well—and she’s learning meaningful character traits and habits that we value as a family. This is an exceptional school and district. I would give it more than five stars and highly recommend it to any family considering this school.
