We did not have a positive experience. I have an older child who was an excellent student but graduated many years ago. His experience was far different with a higher caliber of teachers. My middle child struggles but is not a behavior problem so she never got the help she needed. I will not send my youngest there. I feel like her teachers provided busy work, were frequently absent, didn't try build relationships, keep up with grading or keep parents informed. This was especially true in the English and Math departments. The English Department where there has been a revolving door of teachers over the past few years. Do yourself a favor and get a zone waiver.

My son goes here he is level 2 Autistic. The first two years (pre-k) he had an amazing teacher who really truly tried to get him to his best version of himself she loved not only my boy but all the children. She did so much for them and took the time with them. This year not so much. His teacher barely says anything good about him I feel like he’s not watched like he should be. & there’s really no effort to make the special needs children feel included. ( I’m not sure if level 1 autistic students deal with the same but I’m almost certain level two and up do) anyways so he is in kindergarten they told me he will go to first grade but there’s no graduation for special needs kindergarteners and earlier this year there was field day and he wasn’t allowed to be apart of it because he elopes. & if there was alternatives they surely dint let me know of them. They just said he will be in a classroom with another teacher. & I said nothing because the other teacher was his teacher for half of year of his prek an she loves him so! I didn’t want him to go on the field with a teacher who clearly didn’t want him to be out there. He’s gotten in to more trouble this year then last. As I’m sure teachers work very hard. It’s just sad that social needs can’t be apart of tht same things because they’re just too difficult. I feel atleast give the parents the opportunity to show up and be there for their children so they can participate. It’s discrimination and my mom tried to make a post in th parents group on Facebook about this issue NO ONE ACCEPTED( the post has to be approved from the admins of the community) WHAT SHE SAID HOW CONVENIENT.

My daughter was assaulted during school, I was not informed until she told me when she got home. The only time they told me about it, was when I had called and complained. The kid who assaulted my daughter was only given the minimum punishment!!
