The principal, teachers and staff did not care that my daughter was being bullied. I thought schools had a no bullying policy. My daughter was bullied by the same group of girls for 2 years, from first to third grade. Numerous talks to the principal and teachers were the same. "We have talked to the students." And...that's it? These girls had their friends and a boy corner her in the playground and were pushing her, pulling her hair and calling her names. My daughter finally stood up for herself and she is the one that gets in trouble? After two years and numerous reports my daughter was the only one reprimanded. Her teacher even told her she was the bully, which infuriated me. I withdrew her immediately after that incident and have home schooled her since. This is appalling and unacceptable.

I was a recent student at MacArthur and while the school has potential it’s held back due to the lack of funding, understaffed and underpaid teachers, and many troubled students who have serious mental health problems. The drug gang cliques are very common and the some of the fights I witnessed looked liked the kids were trying to kill each other at times.

Bradley is a GREAT school. My grandson is having the best middle school experience. He loves school and has had the best experience from riding the bus, to learning in the classroom to extra curricular activities - specifically the coaches and sports. Middle school is not always the best experience for pre teens. Bradley staff works hard to make it a fun and positive experience. Way to go BEARS!
