Context: previous alum who participated in clubs and was part of the gifted program.As a freshman who attended RMS I can say this is an amazing school. The statistics don’t really show you that there’s many opportunities for high achieving students to thrive and that there are plenty of tutoring programs and opportunities (all free) before and after school both ongoing and as testing season begins so many people who want to do well definitely have the tools to do so. The elective programs are amazing and they all offer some way to “showcase the learning” (ecx. Culinary bakes food for events sometimes, the music electives do various performances at the local elementary schools and universal studios, Spanish sets up a multicultural festival with the help of the multicultural club) they have many clubs and sports so there’s something for everyone. I truly think I got a high quality education.

Honestly my kids have been going here for 3 years. It’s not a great school. Seems like the principal and vice principal don’t know what’s going on. The vice principal (male) is definitely unprofessional! teachers and staff do as they may and are not reprimanded for not acting professional and not teaching on appropriate level of curriculum the kids are looked at as a money and not Children that need to learn. They allow your kids to be on YouTube throughout the day even if you ask them to not allow them because the have don’t have ways of blocking out inappropriate things. They just play songs all day and have them sing instead of actually learning. I spent a whole year off of work to get my children to learn and it’s now the beginning of the school year and I was told that they still don’t have a teacher available for my eldest.. its the 2024 to 2025 school year and I actually think i might just have to homeschool.. regardless of needing to work. Just cause I really don’t want my kids getting behind again. It’s really sad. Please steer clear especially if your children have autism.. they make it sound like they have good programs, but truly they don’t have good staff or teachers. They will keep your kids in ESE classes and not want to mainstream them because truly they make money off of it. Last year I quit my job to stay home and be able to be available to my children who are doing majority of their work class at home. I was able to teach both my kids to read and get them ahead.. in hopes that they wouldn’t get left behind. My youngest is now in dual language, even though we don’t speak Spanish in the house because he had nowhere else to go and he was “smart enough”. My oldest is still being held in ESE classes, even though he’s ready to go to general population because ” there isn’t enough teachers “ this is disappointing for both my kids and I.

some kids that go here don’t have a single brain cell and are disrespectful and disgusting. the teachers are okay but the security needs to go they yelled at me for walking seriously? how would you like it if i yelled a spit in your face just disrespectful don’t work with students if your going to be like that. instead they should be disciplining the students that bully don’t say your a “bully free” school if you don’t do anything about people being bullied right in front of your face. and who even is the principal here i haven’t seen them around anywhere worst experience
