Our school recently adopted a one-to-one program, which gives every student in 7-12 a MacBook Pro & the ability to learn in a "global atmosphere" in which students can connect with others. However, in my time at the HS l I have seen students on Twitter, Facebook, Minecraft, Netflix, Pinterest and every which thing which allows students to totally disconnect from the learning experience and the subpar teachers, which I will discuss later. Not to mention it is not even a useful tool. Our fairly new Superintendent found it imperative to adopt such a program with no empirical evidence that it would be successful in our district. Not only has it been unimpressive, it has actually brought the school's GPA, which has total causation. Folks, this is just the beginning. I am being told to end this however, so I would like to tell you, that the school is full of teachers who aren't prepping students for life, and I want to congratulate the only heroes in a high school full of those in need of a heroic classroom revamping: Michael Hunter, Bill Rudolph, Todd Crites, Dan Covino, and Elizabeth Hansen. Thank you for standing out and doing all you can to prep us for the future.
