We have people on our street we went to school with. Events: Maple St. Mafia Karaoke Parties, Halloween, Back to school assistance for our students hosted by the local churches, Crods n Rods, Parades."

      "I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost a year but in Elgin for almost 2. This is an awesome great community to live & be a part of. It reminds me of the small town that I grew up in where people take care of each other & support the schools & students as a community. The whole town comes to the Football, Basketball, Baseball & Volleyball games whether they have kids or not. It it quiet & the sky is beautiful. The police make sure our town stays safe."

      "I moved to Elgin about a month ago and it feels like home. The town has everything you could need within a 5min drive. There are great restaurants (BBQ, Mexican, Chinese, pizza, hamburgers, and country food), a grocery store, gas station, and more. The people are nice and the air is clean. "
