"This is a very difficult place to live with kids. It makes it very hard to have a life for them. I couldnt imagine dealing with school traffic and lack of community. "
  • Thaimex9
"Go trick or treating There are 3 parks in the neighborhood there are many activities for children, adults, seniors.. We have a Marina nearby with activities: for children & adults, kayaking, rowing "
  • Trulia User
"People are always walking their dogs around here. It’s a really dog friendly environment. I see dogs in the grocery stores…"
  • Trulia User
"Traffic in LA is always terrible, but once you get off of the freeway and into the neighborhoods it’s much more manageable. It’s at it’s worst in the mornings and between 4-6pm. Parking is always a problem, but it’s just something you learn to deal with."
  • Tina E.
"Love the Playa vibe, access to the beach & bluffs, Restuarants nearby, shops & market. Close to Marina Del Rey & LAX. Good for biking & hills for jogging. Easy access to Manhattan Beach"
  • Virginia R.
"I have no commute but when I did to Santa Monica it was a relatively normal Los Angeles rush hour. It would take me about 30 minutes there and back. Sometimes 45. "
  • Adriana C.
"It’s a very dog friendly place. Most owners clean up after their dogs, but occasionally you see people who don’t. "
  • Jeremy B.
"Loyal community that is good for family and kids. Highly recommend. I want kids here 100% for sure. "
  • Harris C.
"There is ample parking and space for outdoor activities. There are many parks and walking area available."
  • Lilya K.
"It was a great neighborhood but now it’s unsafe and dirty due to homelessness crisis Nevertheless, it’s still has a lot of cool small bars and restaurants "
  • Nina T.
"It's a beautiful area, close to the beaches as well as the city. The houses here however, are overpriced in my opinion. Renting a nice rent-controlled apartment might be much cheaper than owning a property. Other than that it's a safe area, good for singles and families. "
  • Grant J.
"Del Rey offers fantastic coffee shops, a growing number of retail shops, eateries and markets, all on Centinella between Washington Blvd and Braddock. The annual Police fair closes Culver BLVD for three days and the whole neighborhood comes out for rides, games and lots of fun! Overall, this is a quickly growing neighborhood and only a ten minute bike ride on the closeby Bollona Creek bike path to the sandy beach in Playa Del Rey. "
  • Michael B.
"car burglary, theft, homeless people. bikers and bad driver's. overall the place is livable, but when you spend millions of dollars. you expect more. a lot more "
  • Slsouth05
"Great neighborhood, safe (police station close by) and well maintained. There's a wonderful walking path for runners and bikers to commute, and the Ballona Creek trail allows a beautiful nature preserve close by for walking, running or biking! "
  • TRMANN55
"Quiet, family oriented, safe, limited parking, very hard to find a place for friends or visitors to park. "
  • Karltremayne737
"we have summer nights and concerts, love the residents that are friendly, love the dog parks and parks, I feel very safe living in this area. All Holidays are the best in this area."
  • MP
"My commute I less than 10 minutes as I work in the Playa vista campus. Easy access to freeway and close to Santa Monica as well. "
  • Linkn
"This seems like a nice area, just visiting & eating here. Great eats! Paco’s tacos is great Mexican. "
  • Thaimex9
"Safe neighborhood, there are Two nice parks nearby, all can ride bicycles, beach just minutes away, etc"
  • Lisa V.
"I have a love hate relationship with this area. I love that there are a ton of great restaurants and things to do. However, it’s dirty, plus it’s riddled with drugs and homeless issues. I sent my son out with the dog one day and a barefoot homeless woman wrapped her arms around my son. It was disturbing. I wouldn’t recommend this area if you have young children. "
  • Andrefreimann
"It's entirely Gentrifed and owned mostly by foreign investment which drives up the rental prices of every home in the neighborhood. "
  • Ladyjdegree
"Safe to walk around any time of day or not People mind their own business and don’t bother you like some places do! Local eateries and Pavillions is walking distance "
  • Jessica L.
"This is a good neighborhood and has several parks for kids to play in. For the most part Del Rey is clean and I have never felt unsafe."
  • Anne S.
"I've lived in this area for 10 years and I love it. There's a lot of Latin families that make the area stable and safe. "
  • Jessica A.
"There are a lot of young families, loving neighbors, friendly neighborhood cats, beautiful gardens, quiet streets, close to a few grocery stores, movies, and restaurants. "
  • Bianca M.
"You see dogs all the time in the area. All types of breeds, friendly area for dog owners. I have two pit bulls and there are no issues"
  • Rsgmon2
