9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally bad experiences in general. The athletics department is really bad with terrible coaches. The teachers won't input grades on time (a retest grade was never put in and the report card already came out, it's been a month). Rubrics for projects don't mean anything to the teachers. Kids who constantly disrupt class, calling the teacher a b**** and more, won't be pulled because of the least restrictive rule so every other kid in the class has to deal with the havoc.Love the band department and we've had great math teachers so far. That's about it.Parent Review8mo ago31 Reviews - Purple Sage Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I cannot recommend Purple Sage based on our experience. We came into Purple Sage new to the district after my child had already experienced a traumatic situation earlier in the year. We were hoping for compassion, patience, and support during a difficult transition. Instead, we encountered an environment that left my child feeling defeated.Throughout the year, my child received multiple write-ups, often for behaviors that I felt should have been met with understanding, guidance, and appropriate support instead of repeated punishment. My child came home believing they were a "bad kid" and even told me they had been told that if they didn't improve, they would end up going to a "bad school." I also felt pressured to pursue an ADHD evaluation rather than having meaningful conversations about the impact that trauma, grief, anxiety, and major life changes can have on a child's behavior. I never felt those factors were given the consideration they deserved. The principal and assistant principal were dismissive of my concerns and showed very little empathy. Rather than partnering with our family to support my child's success, I often left conversations feeling like my child was viewed as a problem to be managed instead of a child who deserved compassion, patience, and support. One incident that I will never forget was my child being placed alone in a room with the lights off and the door closed during lunch detention. Regardless of the intent, that is not an appropriate way to treat a child who is already struggling emotionally. After just one school year, I made the decision to transfer my child to another school for next year. As a parent, I don't make a decision like that lightly, but I no longer felt this was an environment where my child could thrive emotionally or academically.I hope this review encourages reflection and meaningful change because every child deserves to feel safe, understood, respected, and valued at school.Unfortunately, that was not our experience at Purple Sage.Parent Review2w ago17 Reviews - Westwood High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is way overhyped. Most of staff are either really underqualified or burnout by admin. Admin tries to make the place the same way that it used to be, but it just isn’t ever since their leadership has changed. Master students feel forgotten in the ratio that the list is a lie. It is more like 29:1 it really needs to be talked about because I feel like it’s not talked about enough and it’s just gonna keep getting worse and worse if nothing happens! most students do not enjoy their time there they either wanna go online or transfer because I feel like it would be easier because the workload is crazy for what they are getting back. It’s rilly sad.Student Review7mo ago34 Reviews - Check out schools near 11905 Broad Leaf Cv.

"We absolutely love living in this neighborhood! Everyone here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. People take great pride in their homes and lawns, which makes the entire area feel beautiful and well cared for. It’s also very dog-friendly, and the walking trails surrounding the neighborhood are perfect for daily walks and getting outside. Our neighbors are polite, respectful, and the community is generally very quiet and peaceful. It’s been such a wonderful place to call home!"

"A solid, unpretentious neighborhood where people genuinely look out for each other. It feels safe enough that early morning solo runs before sunrise are no big deal, and you’ll often cross paths with neighbors walking their dogs. Kids play outside, which says a lot about a place. It’s quiet and green, with mature trees that give it a settled, established feel. For all that calm, you’re still just minutes from downtown Austin and the shops and restaurants at Mueller. Commuters will appreciate the easy access to major freeways — it’s one of those rare spots where you get peaceful streets without sacrificing convenience. I’ve lived here for 9 years."

"Neighbors actually look out for each other - the kind of place where someone sets out seeds and dried plants for anyone who wants them. Kids play outside, and people say hello when they pass. It’s a good spot to call home."

"A close to key conveniences- grocery, pharmacy , clothes shopping , library. etc. Good walking but no dry cleaner, bank etc. Quality Public transportation is lacking . This is not a real traditional large city . It is a sunbelt city grafted in to an older smaller community ."

"This neighborhood is not near public transportation. During peak hours, 7:30am-9am and 3:45-6:30 it can take 45-50 minutes to get downtown. It’s just 20 minutes when traffic is flowing. "

"Super close to the freeway and honestly tucked away so hardly any traffic ever and I love it and would definitely recommend the area. The only downside is is sometimes the homeless population gets a little out of control and can be quite aggressive. They also dumpster dive very frequently, but for the most part, they are really nice and respectful."

"Food truck really close walkable distance to anything and everything. Friendly neighborhood. I’ve met half the people on my block. A lot of people walk their dogs. It’s a family friendly neighborhood. I see the neighbors walking with their children and their families are comfortable visiting them here in this neighborhood. I feel safe in this neighborhood. It’s a quiet neighborhood. There’s the capital Metro rail and it’s not loud. It’s Neighbourhood friendly. I recently had a tree farm in my yard and someone visiting a neighbor on my block, called the police department for me and notified me right away during the storm."
