My child went to school up till this year. I pulled him out and he will be going to a private school until I cannot afford to pay for it any longer. He had nothing but trouble since Pre-K with the teacher, kindergarten with another student, that incident was swept under the rug and the teacher retired after that and this year with the assault and the faculty doing nothing to protect my child. All their concern is the LEAP testing and how they score and how the school looks, decorations. They start studying for LEAP after Christmas and nothing else. If you value your child's education and safety do not send them here if at all possible. Castor is only 5 miles down the road. Get in that district. Much better school all around. My child is an A-B student and did very well on the LEAP but Ringgold will not benefit from it. I also have a special needs child and it has been a fight from the first day. She is in high school and will graduate in 2 years. Not moving her unless it is necessary. She is watched very closely. I will say that for the high school.

Ringgold High School has been one of the hardest, most painful places I’ve ever had to be in. I’ve been mistreated, lied on, and judged no matter how hard I try. I’m literally running a clothing drive to help my community, and somehow I’m still treated like the problem.I’ll never forget being 10 years old, crying because my mother had just passed, and being told I was “doing it for attention.” Being threatened with suspension for grieving my own mom is something that still hurts to this day.And the worst part? This school is NOT safe. I’ve had grown parents walk up on me twice — threatening me and cussing me out — and nothing was done. Not one thing to protect me.I’m tired. I’m hurt. And I’m speaking up because no student should ever go through what I’ve gone through.
